What is the world coming to when you can't attend a simple sex party in someone's garage without being worried about being injected with tainted blood?
I luv me some unsubstantiated rumors. And political rumors always make be giggle, especially if hypocritical politicians are involved. So, I am very interested in the rumor of the current Republican Governor of Texas being found in bed with a with another man by his wife. Not only another man but the Republican Secretary of State of Texas. FYI, the Governor thinks that the current sodomy laws in TX are appropriate. If this is true, I wonder what he thinks now.
*More rumormongering here and here.
Even tho these are old, they still make me snort when I read them:
And my valentines thoughts go half way around the world today, when Valentines Day is almost over - miss you bunches.
I can't pinpoint exactly what it is, whether it is the lyrics, the music, I don't know what it is, but there is a song by Dido that I have to say is one of my favorite songs. Now, those of you who know me, know that I am not much of a music person, so if I hate a song I HATE! it, but if I commit to loving it, its stuck.
This song is called "Here With Me". It never got much radio airtime, but it was used as the theme song for the short lived show "Roswell", which I didn't watch. I think I first heard it on either a road trip or one of those nights listening to the mp3's being gone thru, either way, it was nice. And it stuck - I just wanted to hear it over and over again. But, somehow, even knowing how much I liked that song and would inevitably request on the road trips, it never made it on the ipod on those trips. Maybe it was the over and over requests? ;) I know the lyrics just stood out for me and there are lots of times I still want to shout them from the rooftops or whisper them on the phone.
Anyway, this song was used very nicely on ER tonight and it reminded me of how much I really like that song and thought I would share that thought.
Even though like seems like it is speeding by some days, I still find it hard to believe that this boy is as old as he is.
7 years ago right now he came to this earth screaming like a, well, newborn baby and was soon as red as a baboons ass. He still looks the same in some ways, every bit his daddy's son but more of momma creeping in. His personality is warm and caring and smartass and all boy - who gets embarassed when being teased about his first girlfriend.
He is my joy - Happy Birthday, Nate!
