Fucker Sure Taking Long Time To Download

That fucker sure is taking a long time to download, computer user Larry Eisen reported Monday. "What is taking this fucker so long?" asked Eisen, trying to download the fucker from amug.org, the web site for Arizona Macintosh Users Group. "I got a DSL line for this?" Spokespersons for AMUG, which offers the 145 MB, BinHex-encoded fucker for download off its FTP server, could not be reached as of press time.
To make up for the lost days, I have a bunch of freaky, weird links:
1. Look, I used these kind of things on Natey when he was a baby - they are called baby wipes. And ya know, he didn't like'em when they were cold, right out of the case - he liked them somewhat warmed up -which might explain why there is a market for these. Somehow I doubt that Kimberly-Clark will be giving us a warmer for the rolls.
Yeeeeaaahhh....don't really want a cold, wet hiney goin' on.
2. I would really, really hate to be a low ranking officer in this district. I mean, yeah, "source" says that "we" have recovered some jewels - I think it is more like, "yeah, we had Bob, the new guy, dig'em out".
Yeah, I know, try to get that image out of your mind.
3. Okay, this just gives me the heebee-jeebies. I would have freaked out if I had been the one to find the box - prolly would have looked like some cartoon with the box flying up and open in slow motion scattering the creatures all over the terminal, causing everyone else to start screaming and running and causing all kinds of chaos.
And they have a rehabilitaion center for them?? 'Course that is just the bug-hatin', bug-stompin' part of me coming out.
4. Is this town so small that noone has fences? And, what kind of gardening do you do at night anyway? Please enlighten me, because I hate doing any of that during the day, I can't imagine what gets done at night.
5. This story bugs me. I really do think that Microsoft is getting far too big and far reaching, especially if there is any way possible they can control people's personal emails. While I applaud their attempt at curbing spam, doncha think maybe they should let people know what they are doing? 'Course, letting everyone know what they are doing just isn't the Microsoft way, now is it? This story also points out the very reason I NEVER "unsubscribe" to obvious spam - I damn sure don't want them to know my email address is active, just so they can send me some more shit.
Well, that outta buy me a coupla days.
Went out with some friends last night for dinner and a movie (okay, a really bad movie, but isn't more about enjoying the company than what you do?) and it felt really, really good. I feel like I have been hibernating and am just waking up. I definitely need to do that more often.

Man, this year just keeps getting better and better already. I just had Airborne deliver 3 boxes to me from Outpost. Nice, pretty white boxes that say Apple and Epson on them.
I got a G4 Cube, 17" Apple Display Monitor and an Epson Printer. This is the first time I got to buy a computer for me, and not get a hand me down - not that they were shit mind you, but definitely no complaining from this side of the room.
Don't know if I mentioned it lately, but 2000 sucked for me. I am blaming it all on millenium madness and the confusion about whether last year starts the new one or if this one does. But I know that this year is going to be hella' better.
Biggest regret of 2000: Wasted energy. I truly wish that I could have all of the energy that I wasted last year back. I know that all contained it would be enough to cure California's current energy crisis and still light up Clarke Griswold's house for the holiday season.
Biggest goal for 2001: To be happy. Sounds simple enough, but I wasn't able to do that last year, so I hope I have learned from that and will be able to accomplish it this year. So far so good. ('course running through freshly fallen snow at midnight doesn't hurt anything either).
