My son is getting to the age of calling and being called by 6yo kids in his class. Which is great and nice that my kid is sociable. What is hilarious is what the conversations that ensue. Overheard tonight:
Nate: What are you doing?
Ashton: (I have to wing this part since this is one sided) Nothing.
Nate: You have to be doing something.
Ashton: pppbbhhhtttt
Nate: Did you fart?
Ashton: No
Nate: ppbbbhhttt
Ashton: Did you fart?
Nate: Yes, pppbbbhhhttt
More fart noises occur and in a few minutes I go to see where the child is, since he has my bad habit of walking around while on the phone. I find him in the bathroom, having a comfy sit down just chatting away on the phone.
A few minutes later, when he is back in the living room describing what is on the Tivo I hear:
Nate: Well, my arms hurt, so, bye.
Nate: No wait, nevermind, I switched.
More fart noises.
Nate: Mine was longer than yours. (and) That's just sick, sick, sick, sick.
So, even at 6, the boys are already whippin' it out and comparing. Heh. Boring, yet funny all rolled into one. Gotta love it.
