One of the captured soldiers that was shown answering questions on Iraqi television said that he was with the 507th, but he didn't say what branch he was with. There is one in the Army and the Air Force.
I was in the one in the Air Force, but it has become a refueling unit and not a maintenance unit, so I doubt he was from my old unit. But it is scary to think that some of my old co-workers, or hell, it could have been me since we were a F-16 unit before they switched our mission, might have been captured. Little too close to home for me, that's for damn sure.
