The movie Blow was a pretty good movie and I think that Johnny Depp did a really good job portraying George Jung. But the supporting cast had me scratching my head because I recognized so many of them from other things I couldn't put my finger on during the move - almost to the point of distraction.
But now I figured them out:
Barbara: She was indeed Franka Potente - the chick from that excellent flik Run Lola Run.
His bitch of a mother: Her name is Rachel Giffiths and I remember her from a great australian movie called Muriel'sWedding. (Which also starred the Oscar™ nominated actress Toni Collette as her best friend, Muriel.)
And then there was the buddy from back east, who also ended up setting him up in the end, whos name escapes me right now: His name is Max Perlich and yes, everyone, i KNOW it was not Malachai from Children of the Corn (that was Courtney Gains), but you gotta admit they both had that red-headed, awkward, teenage, supporting role kind of thing going on.
Gah - that was bugging the shit outta me.
