Had a great evening of delicious food and excellent jazz in the Parlor Room at The Storyville District on Bourbon. I am not a big jazz fan, but that place will sure make you one, let me tell ya.
Today we started off the day by touring the Destrehan Plantation, which is the oldest documented plantation house in the lower Mississippi valley. It was pretty amazing to see how people lived back then, how different it is from today.
Then we got to go out to the swamps and take a Louisiana Swamp Tour in an airboat. It was pretty badass. We were able to see some alligator's, (our guide even lured one up to the boat with marshmallow's and fed him some raw chicken by hand - uhhh, no thanks.) and just had a blast flying over the marshlands - 'course we all had a bit of the stank on us, since - well, it IS a swamp.
It's Moulin Rouge night at 735 tonight, so that should be fun, and then we will just see where we go from there.
Have I mentioned how much friggin' fun this is?
