Yeah, I know it is sweeps month and it's all about the ratings, but, shit people, ya think maybe, just maybe, the President's address to the nation about Homeland Defense (gotta keep those grocery stores safe, after all) might be a bit more important than Friends or Survivor?
Call me crazy, but wasn't it not that long ago that they weren't showing any entertainment shows on at all because the news was all over the place, and now they can't even cover the President updating us on two of the three major networks? Bizarre.
Oh, and speaking of the war, just as I think that the guys at South Park can't go "there", they do. Last nights episode about the war in Afghanistan was dead on - they always strike a good balance between "that's just so wrong" and "they have a point", like the Elian episode and the election episode. The mom laying on the couch zoning to the constant news streams was so right - I was laughing my ass off. I love that show.
