Overheard at the tanning salon:
"....so, yeah, if I miss one more day, then I am so fired."
< pause >
"No, I'm in the bed."
< very short pause >
"Can you hear it? I just turned the fan on."
Unbelieveable. And even stranger, the girl at the front desk says it happens all the time. I have never even thought of talking on the phone while tanning, but I guess if the 10 minutes of silence just hurts your head, then I guess it makes sense.
